Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be releasing my first of many short stories entitled All Monsters. It’s about Dane Curse, the former black cape turned PI, on a kidnapping case for a scion of Gold Coast City. If you want an absolutely free copy be sure to sign up for the Gold Coast Chronicle quarterly newsletter. It’ll ship in about two weeks, followed by another installment three months later. These tales won’t be available on Amazon, the only way to take this ride is to get it sent to your virtual mailbox, so why don’t you subscribe with that address you only check once a month because it’s exclusively used for deals like this, and enjoy!
Pour this in a glass and drink it in. It’s the second in the four part series by Kim Herbst capturing various moments in Dane Curse. This one, for those who’ve read it (and actually, those who haven’t as well), is the moment when Dane finally uses his Kapowitzer. Swanky, right?
Feast your eyes on a still shot so sweet it makes the Gummy Venus de Milo seem like a sour ball dipped in milk left on a radiator for a week. It’s drawn by Kim Herbst, artist extraordinaire, and for the uninitiated, this is Lynx with her henchmen in Henchmen’s. The bad news is, now that you’ve seen it you can never see it again for the first time, but Kim’s got three more pictures from the novel, so… you know… there’s a silver lining.
Ok, so The Coconut Swindle is still in the process of editing. Which should let everyone know two things:
- It’s going to be really good. Or just good. Whatever, it’s all subjective anyway, but the MRU’s are polished, the proactive/reactive scenes change, the goal/obstacles/stakes are clear, and the three acts are damn near perfect length.
- The second thing though is that the release day may be pushed back. Unfortunately for us indie authors the first month of promos and sales is vital to get attention, and while I can definitely get this out in January it may coincide with Valentine’s Day chaos, and I can’t fight that. I’m just one man!
Also, I just lost my cat Durden and that’s slowing me down a bit. I miss you tons little guy, 14 years seems like a long time, but somehow it wasn’t nearly enough.
Dane Curse, my first novel, is still just 99 cents, but it won’t be for long. I can’t say when, but it will be returning to it’s normal price of 2.99. Ok ok, it’s October 31st. But why wait, pick up a copy today and get prepped for part two The Coconut Swindle, which will be out
before after Christmas on January 4th whether it’s ready or not! That reminds me, I really got to start on it…
(jk, I wrote it last November for NaNoWriMo! But I still got some editing)
